Valley Oak SPCA's 28th Annual Walk-A-Dog-A-Thon event will be our biggest yet!

Amanda Giese

Amanda Giese, founder of Panda Paws Rescue and star of Animal Planet’s hit television show Amanda To The Rescue will be attending the event and speaking about how rescue work in the Central Valley is so vital. Valley Oak SPCA has partnered with Amanda and Panda Paws Rescue for many years and some of our rescue stories were featured on multiple episodes of the show.

Come check out:

  • Dog adoptions from local rescues and shelters

  • Food vendors and a variety of retail vendors

  • Local art displays, bounce houses, face painting, pet trainer demos, onsite grooming, low cost vaccination & microchip clinic, pet contests and games, HUGE prizes, and tons of raffle items.

  • 3 mile run/walk with your dog through beautiful Mooney Grove Park

 The $35 registration fee BEFORE May 11th includes: 1 dog entry, 1 t-shirt, 1 lunch pass, 1 parking pass and 1 goodie bag.

Early registration ends at 5pm on May 10th.

Registrations received the day of the event will NOT recieve a parking pass. Mooney Grove will charge a $6 parking fee per vehicle.


What does my registration fee include?

The $35 registration fee includes all of the following: 1 dog entry, 1 t-shirt, 1 lunch pass, 1 parking pass and 1 goodie bag.



Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

This event is for all ages!


What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Mooney Grove Park charges a $6 parking fee when entering the park, however, if you register for the event before March 10th your parking fee is covered!  If you do not register online be sure to show proof of paid registration (receipt).  

There is additional parking, outside the park along the north end, on Ave 272.

We recommend you carpool if entering the park.


What can I bring into the event?

Please have all dogs on a secure collar and leash.  We will have water bowls and poop bags available.

Doggie strollers are encouraged for squished face breeds and senior dogs.

Chairs or blankets are encouraged for grass seating.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

If you pre-register online it is recommended that you bring a printed ticket but not required.  If you do not pre-register online, a receipt of payment is recommended but not required.
